It is so disappointing, to live in a city, where thirsty should be its first name. The mayor and politicians seem to forget, where they get their money from. It's the taxpayers who pay these enormous taxes, so we can live in a world class city. One news station ran a segment, calling it dirty Kansas City. I beg to differ. Only certain parts are filthy, littered with debris, garbage and trash, because the people in charge, believe that's what poor people deserve. Most of them seem to have lost all common courtesy, common decency, common sense and humanity. As many times as trash is strewn over this city, it should be cleaned up. Who doesn't make it a priority, and show their pride. This city worships athletes, so called celebrities, rappers and sports, forgetting about the real heroes teachers, honest policemen, firemen and hard working community activists. An actor playing a teacher, makes more than an actual teacher. KCPS hasn't placed a bond issue on the ballot, since 1967. Anyone wonder why schools are closing and being torn down, while billionaires are asking the taxpayers for billions to fund their sports teams. I challenge anyone in government, sports or entertainment, to go from 1st Street to 95th Street, Cherry Street to the Kansas City Missouri, line, and tell me what you see. I see abandonment, aging, decaying, rotting, and a smell out of this world. If you don't see the same thing and correct it, you are part of the demonic, evil, wicked and wretched people of this city!!

Did you see online video about how badly the employees treat members of the public ? Call Police when you ask if the mayor or city manager is available. These people need training or should be fired.

It's absolutely sickening how trashed the roads and highways are through Kansas City Missouri!!!!where is the tax dollars going in Pockets???? Fix the roads it's a disgrace and definitely need a audit because road money has been taken and definitely not usedd on roads!!!at this point the city should pay all repairs to vehicles

I give the actual tour of the observation deck a 5 star. One of the neatest things you can do in KC.

Is it me or is the city of Kansas City Mo more interested in cars tearing the streets of Kansas City up than the streets of Kansas City tearing up cars. About a month ago the youth of Kansas City started picking out intersections and doing burnouts and the City deemed this a city problem and in less than two weeks they came up with a solution. They installed this little disc at certain intersection I was amazed how fast they came up with this solution because it’s been over twenty years since they have repaved my street I live on east 73rd street between paseo and troost. They can come up with quick solution when it comes to cars doing burn outs on our streets but as far as fixing our pothole infected streets there plan is years behind. If you drive from 63rd and Meyers and paseo to at least 75th and paseo probably further those streets are ridiculous also 75th street between paseo and Cleveland is a mess if we could get our city to focus on problems that have been plaguing Kansas City for more years than I can remember it would be more beneficial to the the people who have supported this city. I think the only reason they are trying to resolve this burnout situation is because of the area that they are choosing to have these event. I think if it was in my neighborhood they wouldn’t give it a second look. Let’s stop letting Troost divide us and concentrate on areas east of troost, street repair is something that everyone should experience.

Lived in KC most of my life and have lived in 4 other cities of comparable size and some smaller. Moved back here for family considerations 8 years ago. This city is collapsing w/ ultra high taxes from both state, county and city sales tax and illegal 1% city earnings tax. Leaving early summer next year and good riddance to this corrupt squandered joke.

Needed the employees of the City to help me find an elusive but necessary Certificate of Legal Nonconformance. An online or Sunshine request for public records did not work because this information was circa 1980s and not digitized. Another City may have blown me off with tough luck. But not In Kansas City. I waited for hours but let them do their job. They would appear and share information, then go follow another lead. As I was sitting there, had the time to read the tiny print, and found an obscure reference to a file CLNU #2096. The Archivist jumped on that and 15 minutes later I had a copy of all documentation needed to prove my case. Thank you to all friendly and committed to public service employees, but especially to Ms. Janies Shannon the City Archivist. She was genuinely as happy for me as I was.
